Rosh Hashanah and Sukkot are coming in just a few short weeks so it’s time to give you all the information you need to make sure you have all the sweet (and savory) baked items you could possibly want or need to brighten up your holiday table!
Everyone loves the savory options as well as sweet and this year I’ve delivered, with 8 all-new kugel options, The new flavors are carrot crunch bake, sweet potato casserole, corn casserole, cabbage and onion kugel, onion kugel, zucchini kugel, rice pudding, and sweet noodle kugel. As if that wasn’t enough, I’m also making my old kugels: broccoli, cranberry apple, apple, and butternut squash. All of these are made in 8 inch square pans. Please be aware I’m limiting how many of each kugel I make so place your orders as soon as you can!
For Rosh Hashanah I’m making a new specially-designed cake (just as I’ve done the last 2 years) with a matching cupcake pack set (3 vanilla and 3 chocolate cupcakes with buttercream frosting). Please reference the images at the top of this post to admire the gorgeous designs! I’m also making all the fan favorites from past years: honey cake and caramel apple babka. Finally, a new item this year is my apple strudel.
Sukkot will also feature it’s own all-new cake and cupcake design! Other new items on the sukkot menu this year are: a gingerspice bar with cream cheese frosting; a fun chocolaty dessert I call “loaded brownies” (my classic brownies with marshmallow fluff swirled in, topped with pretzels, potato chips and rainbow sprinkles). Finally, I’m carrying apple strudel over from the Rosh Hashana menu because honestly, you can’t go wrong with apple filling and a flaky pastry.
As always my standard desserts of cakes, cookie and pastry trays, and cake buckets as well as egg, water and whole wheat challah in an assortment of flavors and sizes are available. And, special for the Chaggim, I’m making all my challot round. If you prefer the regular braided challah please tell me when you order.
Because of the way they fall in the week, delivery and pick up options are going to look pretty similar to the regular weekday times. Rosh Hashanah orders will be available for delivery on Thursday 9/14 from 3-5pm; and pick up from 5-7pm. On Sukkot I’ll have two delivery and pick up options: Thursday 9/28 and Thursday 10/5. For both days delivery will be 3-5pm and pick up from 5-7pm. To see if you are in my free delivery zone please check the map here. Otherwise mention you’d like delivery for an additional fee and where you’re located and I can get you a delivery cost!
